WELCOME

Hi everyone and welcome to my Yoga Expanding Self-awareness website. Yoga has been a passion of mine for 24 years and I now bring this rich experience to this website for others. I’ve benefited tremendously from this art. Now I want to help others and give back. Over the years I’ve learned and taught about developing awareness, improving concentration, and transforming lives. I now want to offer these techniques to a greater amount of friends.

MY STORY

Growing up, I was affected by trauma and the negative influence of others in ways that didn’t help me. For years, I carried the weight of trauma and self defeating learned beliefs like an invisible anchor. It seeped into every corner of my life, leaving me feeling disconnected, anxious, and at times, utterly lost. Traditional methods of healing helped, but it wasn’t until I discovered Kundalini Yoga that I began to truly heal—not just mentally, but emotionally and spiritually.

Kundalini Yoga is often called the “yoga of awareness,” and that’s exactly what it gave me: awareness of the pain I was holding onto and the power I had to release it. Through its unique combination of breath-work (pranayama), mantra chanting, dynamic movements, and meditation, I found a pathway to healing that felt both profound and accessible.

Here’s how Kundalini Yoga transformed my journey with trauma:

* Calming my Nervous System
Trauma often leaves the nervous system stuck in a state of hyper-vigilance. The powerful breathing techniques in Kundalini, like long deep breathing and the breath of fire, helped me regulate my nervous system. Over time, I noticed a significant decrease in anxiety and an increased ability to respond to stress with calmness.

* Releasing my stored emotions
Trauma is stored in the body, and Kundalini’s movements and kriyas are designed to release stuck energy. At first, I was skeptical. But during certain kriyas, I’d find myself crying without knowing why. These moments weren’t scary—they were cathartic. Each tear felt like a piece of the weight lifting off my shoulders.

* Building my inner strength
One of the most beautiful things about Kundalini Yoga is its focus on resilience. The practice challenges you, asking you to hold postures or repeat movements for what feels like forever. At first, I struggled. But as I kept showing up, I found strength I didn’t know I had—not just in my body, but in my spirit.

* Connecting to something greater
Trauma can make the world feel small and isolating. Kundalini introduced me to the power of mantra and meditation, which reconnected me to a sense of universal love and support. Chanting mantras like “Sat Nam” (truth is my identity) reminded me of my worth and wholeness, even when I didn’t feel it.

* Creating a safe space for me
Kundalini Yoga became my sanctuary—a time each day where I could be vulnerable, authentic, and present with myself. The practice helped me rebuild trust in my body and mind, one kriya at a time.

Healing is Possible
I won’t claim that Kundalini Yoga is a magic cure for trauma—healing is a deeply personal and layered journey. But for me, this practice was transformative. It gave me tools to process my pain, the strength to face my fears, and the clarity to move forward with hope.

If you’re struggling with trauma, I encourage you to try Kundalini Yoga. Approach it with an open mind and heart, and allow the practice to meet you wherever you are. Healing is possible, and you are so much more powerful than your pain.

WHY I WANT TO HELP PEOPLE

Kundalini yoga and its teaching of self-awareness helped me to change negative beliefs. I began to transform my life through the practice of its exercises and it’s mind training. The change was so profound that I decided to be a teacher myself. Throughout the years I have helped many others achieve the benefits I have gained. I have been rewarded immensely by observing the progress of many of my students. I enjoyed this so much that I made it a mission statement. I love being in the present practicing mindfulness, mentoring and empowering others in joyous and compassionate ways so that others can be peaceful, prosperous and joyous.

WHAT’S OFFERED & HOW YOU CAN BENEFIT

With my Kundalini yoga courses, you will learn to gently open the energy centers within. You will synergize the breath, movement, stretches, and sounds to bring more balance and harmony into your life. You will also develop a non-reactive observation of any limiting beliefs, release them and embrace a more self-empowering, peaceful and abundant way of thinking through the uncovering of your true self.

With my mentoring services: 1. We start with a free 30 minute consultation via Zoom or phone. 2. We get a baseline of where you are and what your needs and desires are, and where you want to go. 3. We then develop an action plan based on the teachings of the Higher Power of the Mind to Create/The Law Of Vibration and Kundalini Yoga to help you get what you really desire. We do this by caringly helping you to express inner extraordinary strength and remove the obstacles to the unfoldment of those goals.
